Roc H Biel is an independent industrial designer based in London, working across collectible editions, installations and products for global brands.

My objects feel like memories from a future that never happened. Drawing from classical silhouettes and the surreal logic of renders and dreamscapes, the work plays with material truth and visual illusion, balancing scale, materiality and imagery to spark wonder and curiosity. Each piece begins away from the screen, in clay and plaster studies and references pulled from unlikely places, from Middle Eastern architecture to satellite hardware, before it is made in rammed earth, stone, compacted wood dust or recycled steel.

The practice lives between nostalgia and speculation, where design becomes both question and artefact. Whether it is a collectible edition, an installation or a commercial product, I want it to be felt before it is understood.

Originally from Barcelona, I moved to London in 2018 to study at the Royal College of Art, then joined Pentagram, working in the teams of Yuri Suzuki and Jon Marshall. I have since collaborated with Philippe Malouin, AKQA and Back Market, and teach as a visiting lecturer at the RCA, Ravensbourne and Gengdan Institute. A background in audio engineering and photography shaped my belief in total design, where I author every layer of a piece, from the object itself to how it is photographed, heard and told. Underneath it all, I simply love developing beautiful, long-lasting products, from one-offs to large series.
